Executive team

Michel Feraud earned his PhD doctoral thesis in Organic Chemistry with honors from the University of Aix-Marseille III in 1997. With Christophe Baralotto, his long-time business partner in a number of ventures, he co-founded Provence Technologies in 1998. Michel is President of this privately-owned company and co-inventor of the patent on methylene blue. In 2007, he founded Provepharm which he is leading as President. The company was established as a supplement to Provence Technologies in order to create business value in pharmaceuticals out of a genuine synthesis route of Methylene Blue patented by Provence Technologies. In 2014, Provence Technologies acquired Synprosis now Provepep.
 
 


 
Babak Sayah earned a PhD doctoral thesis in Organic Chemistry (specialty organic synthesis) from the University Joseph Fourier of Grenoble in 2001. He is the co-author of several publications relating to the multistep synthesis of natural alkaloids. Babak joined Provence Technologies as the Laboratory Manager in 2003. Babak is the co-inventor of the patent on methylene blue. Today, Babak is the Chief Operating Officer of Provence Technologies and Provepep.
 
 
 
 

 
Christophe Baralotto earned his PhD doctoral thesis in Organic Chemistry from the University of Aix-Marseille III in 1997. In 1998, with Michel Feraud, his long-time business partner in a number of ventures, he co-founded Provence Technologies. Christophe is Chief Financial Officer for all Provence Technologies Group.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Jean-Pierre Salles is a Doctor of Pharmacy, microbiologist. He has 28 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and is a former research and development director. During his carrier, Jean-Pierre has developed numerous products as generics or NDA. He is a listed inventor of 4 patents and was Associate Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Montpellier for 4 years. In 2003 he founded Synprosis (now Provepep) to develop synthetic vaccines, and managed the company during 10 years, until its acquisition by Provence Technologies in 2014. Jean-Pierre is now Chief Scientific Officer of Provepep.
